Sustainability is an important topic to us at SHINE Partners, but also to me personally. I love giving back to my local community through educational webinars. Recently, I had the opportunity to facilitate a webinar presented by Dr. Dan Cohan of Rice University through the Environmental Sustainability Board (ESB) Learning Academy's quarterly event. As Chair of ESB, I get to partner with other passionate people to discuss sustainability topics relevant to our community in the City of Bellaire. Watch the full webinar below to learn more.
The ESB is a non-statutory board that reviews and makes advisory recommendations to the city of Bellaire, Texas, in the initiation, prioritization, and development of public education programs, policies, and actions relating to Environmental Sustainability. The ESB organizes an education session related to Environmental Sustainability once a quarter as part of its ESB Learning Academy initiative. These webinars are a series of online educational sessions that will highlight topics relevant to environmental sustainability in the Bellaire community. Past sessions covered Residential Solar, Solid Waste & Recycling, Texas Electrical Grid, Composting, Green Waste, and Houston Area Climate Events.
